Home Sweet Home
And seriously, I had no idea about the amount of toys that came home with us. The girls' bedroom is going to have to be completely rearranged to make room for everything. Our family room {the all-purpose-computer-crafts-coloring-play room} is FULL of stuff. I've slowly made a 2 ft wide path through the room for us to walk through. It's about to bust at the seams from all the toys we brought home.
Any suggestions on where to store an easy bake oven? This way I'm not getting surprised by off-the-wall concotions coming out of it. I'm outta ideas.
Our trip was awesome. I just {heart} being with my family. So much so that I was in tears when we left. Soon {tomorrow?} I will have pictures. Lots and lotsa pictures for you. And updates. And awards to give away.
And hopefully by the end of the week I will be caught up with reading everything you guys have been posting.
But til then, my break is over & I must go back to my laundry. {Bah!!} I've missed you all & will post more soon. Promise. :)

Fa-La-La
For serious tho, I've got about 2 seconds before I have to get off the 'puter to go play some Twilight Scene It with my SIL. She's probably going to kick my butt. :P
I just wanted to hop on & say that, even tho Christmas was days ago, I hope you all had a super-fab Christmas! Lots of family & fun & love & happiness.
Our vaca has been so crazy! We had snow - holy crap. Lots {& I do mean LOTS} of family fun. And we've got more to come. Once I get back home & unwind {unpack? rearrange to make room for all the new toys?} I will get back to my normal bloggy happiness. And get caught up reading everything I've missed. Oh. And post lotsa pictures of my crazy rugrat children playing in the snow for the first time.
I {heart} you all. Thanks for your holiday patience ;) If I don't see ya soon, Happy New Year!

Busy Bee
But that's why I hopped on this morning. I've got about 2 minutes to spare before I have to get crackin around the house. So I'm taking this small amount of time to let you know I'm going to be kind of on a blog hiatus for a little while. Unless there's something that I have to post about, I might not be around til after the holidays are over.
This week is crazy crazy busy. The mister is very preoccupied with work since he's about to take 2 1/2 weeks off. The kids have mass amounts of stuff going on at school. And seriously, I'm not done with the Christmas presents yet. I did finally get cards mailed out today. And that just makes me a little proud.
But since we have our trip coming up in a few days I need to take every minute I can to get stuff ready for it. {And you have no idea how guilty I feel for ignoring my blog even more. It's kinda sad}
So with that, Happy Blogging. Happy Holidays. Merry Christmas. And I'll talk to ya soon!

Five Question Friday

Yay! Time for another round of Mama M's Five Question Friday! But seriously. Wasn't yesterday Monday? I've been so crazy busy that I don't even realize how fast the days are going by.
Anyway. Let's get with the questions!
1. Does Santa wrap the presents he leaves at your house?
Of course. Little hands like to start playing with stuff as soon as possible. So unless it's in a stocking, it's covered with paper.
2. When is your "big" Christmas celebration....Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Tell us about it...
Things vary from year to year. It all depends on whether or not we're staying here or going back home.
Last year we stayed home but my brother & sister-in-law came to visit a little after Christmas. So Christmas morning the mister & I got up early {so that the kids didn't surprise us by having all their presents open before we got up}. Made sure all was in order - our presents & Santas. When we heard the kids waking up {and wondering why the stairs were blocked off by a wall of boxes} we let the craziness begin. The came running down stairs, found their mountain of presents & started tearing into them.
Then we get to eat breakfast - eggs, bacon & blueberry muffins. Yummm! After that we just hang out, watch Christmas movies & play with all the new toys.
This year we're going to be spending with the grandparents.
We start off with the hubby's mom. Christmas like normal. Then we're off to my mama's. We'll wake up, open presents from Santa. Eat breakfast. My sister & her family will come over. We'll do presents again. Eat turkey dinner. Yay!
Off again....to my dad's. Repeat process. Then off to the hubby's dad's. And....you guessed it....repeat again.
Christmas is gonna be 2 weeks this year. Cra.Zi.Ness.
3. Are you big on keeping tradition every year?
Ehh. Not so much. We really just try to go with the flow of it. Whatever works for that year is what we do.
4. Do colored lights or white lights tickle your fancy?
Oooohhh. I like both. Usually we put up white lights. But only because that's what we have. But I do love me some colored lights too. And the flashy ones. Those are pretty fun.
5. Do you decorate outside your house for Christmas?
Um. No.
I wish we did but we just never do get around to it.
Maybe next year.
So that's this weeks edition of Five Question Friday. Now it's your turn. Jump on & link up or answer with a comment.

OMG It's Another Hippo
Kenzie & I got there super early to make sure that we could get good seats so I could get a video of him doing his thing. Paid off too. I got front row seats. Yay!
And how funny is it that last week I was talking about the Hippopotamus song. It's what his class danced to.
So without further delays, I give you The Dancing Hippopotamus Reindeers. **Sorry about the shaking I couldn't quit giggling. And just fyi, my little man is the one with the yellow crocs on. The one that keeps stomping his feet & shaking his butt. :P
Isn't he just the little entertainer?! So hilarious!
I hope your Christmas programs are just as fun!

Can't a Girl Get Some Green?
K gets a form in her take home folder every day. It's a stop light. The oh-so-wonderful green light means she had a good day & never got in trouble. A yellow light means she got in trouble but it wasn't too bad {& the teacher writes notes on what happened}. Red means a trip to the principal was necessary. {And mama is going to be very upset.}
The first 6 weeks were awesome. Green lights every day. Slowly tho, I started seeing yellow lights. I'm thinking once K realized the world didn't come to a screaching halt when she got that yellow light, it made everything ok. Nevermind that she lost priveleges. Spent more time in timeout than was ever necessary. Nope. None of that mattered.
She's had 8 days this month & 5 of those have been *yellow* days. Lovely.
We've talked about the problem - too much talking, not finishing her work, getting up & walking around when she's not supposed to. Still with the yellow.
Last night I was making dinner & Miss K was, of course, finishing her work that she didn't manage to do at school. This is when she stops & comes to show me her paper.
"See these circles? They're wheels & my teacher said to color them orange. I like orange sometimes so I think I'll do what she says. I do what she says sometimes."
Sometimes.
Yep. That about sums it up.
And to think.....in a matter of years she's going to be a teenager. Oh help me!
